Plenish is introducing Mango Sunshine and Beet Balance to its popular cold-pressed shots range, rolling out from 13th May in Tesco. Both flavours will be available in a convenient 60ml shot and will help retailers provide shoppers with functional drinks which are also packed full of flavour. With Mango Sunshine offering 100% of the recommended intake (RI) of vitamin D and Beet Balance designed to support overall women’s health with 100% RI of vitamin B6, the two new additions give shoppers even more choice to proactively support their health. The flavours will join Ginger Immunity, Berry Gut Health, Turmeric Recovery and Spirulina Detox, ensuring consumers have a daily shot for a variety of health needs.
Russell Goldman, Managing Director at Plenish, comments, “The wellbeing shots category is growing fast, already worth £25.6m[1], and by 2025 the category is projected to more than double[2]. By offering a wide choice of flavours and benefits in the category, Plenish can help retailers cater to the growing shopper demand. Each product in our range contains cold-pressed ingredients and provides the daily recommended intake of a vitamin in an easy-to-drink shot*, and with Mango Sunshine also available in a larger 300ml dosing bottle, retailers can cater to even more consumption occasions. Containing no added sugar, preservatives or flavourings, Mango Sunshine and Beet Balance include vitamins to support overall health in a convenient format, while also delivering great taste.”
Research shows that one in six adults suffer from low levels of vitamin D[3], which contributes to immune system function, muscle function, and healthy bones and teeth[4]. Mango Sunshine contains 100% of the daily recommended intake of vitamin D in a delicious and easy-to-consume alternative to supplements.
Beet Balance is aimed at women looking to support their overall health, containing a special blend of vitamins including 100% of the daily recommended intake of B6, which helps promote normal hormonal balance. Beet Balance is also a source of folic acid which supports normal blood function, and vitamin C which supports the immune system as well as contributing to healthy skin, teeth, and bones. Alongside the functional benefits, both recipes are packed with cold-pressed and plant-based ingredients, capturing the natural and flavourful taste consumers love in Plenish products.
Mango Sunshine and Beet Balance will be available in 60ml shots with a MRSP of £2 each, and Mango Sunshine will also be available in a 300ml dosing bottle with a MRSP of £4.50. Manufactured in the UK, both flavours will initially roll into Tesco on 13th May, before becoming available more widely. The launch will also be supported by a media and sampling campaign in May and June. For this launch, Plenish has also commissioned award-winning brand consultancy, Magpie Studio to help with the packaging design, the continuation of a long-standing partnership that has seen the brand go from strength to strength.
