Mountain Dew is partnering with video game giant Activision on its latest release, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, to run an on-pack promotion for the second year.
Following strong performance throughout 2020, which saw a +6% value growth year on year for the brand1, the exclusive UK partnership goes live at the beginning of November. Shoppers will be able to reap the benefits of double XP points with every purchase of Mountain Dew, which will enable faster in-game progression for gaming fanatics and an additional sales opportunity for retailers.
The on-pack promotion will be supported with wider marketing execution including in-store activations, placing the brand front-of-mind for shoppers and makes Mountain Dew a must-stock ahead of the new Call of Duty launch.
The limited-edition Mountain Dew bottles will be available from the beginning of November for 13 weeks. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be available from 13th November 2020. 2XP codes can be redeemed until 31st January 2021.
