Britvic brand Tango has entered the second year of its partnership with The Prince’s Trust and pledged to donate a further £120,000 to support young people.
To mark the second year of the partnership, Tango and The Prince's Trust hosted an inspiring event aimed at empowering young people with the knowledge and skills they need for a brighter future. The event was attended by over 60 young people in East London – featuring workshops from industry powerhouses in music, content creation and fitness, as well as a compelling panel discussion with three Prince’s Trust Ambassadors, hosted by talented YouTuber and musician, Yung Filly.
In its second year, the partnership will once again see an on-pack takeover across the Tango range, with branded cans encouraging young people to ‘find their fearlessness’. In the first two years of its partnership Tango will have donated £220,000 to The Prince’s Trust to support young people.
The Prince’s Trust is a youth charity that supports 11 to 30-year-olds across the UK into employment, education and training, helping young people develop essential life skills, get ready for work and access job opportunities. This funding from Tango will enable The Prince’s Trust to give young people access to over 5,000 hours of one-to-one support every year including counselling, education and careers advice – helping to unlock their potential and access potentially life changing career opportunities.
Asia Banger, Brand Manager at Tango, said: “We are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with The Prince's Trust for the second year running and extending our funding to this fantastic cause. Our shared goal is to create a partnership that fosters growth, inspiration, and empowerment, guiding young individuals towards their next steps with confidence."
Tom Keer, Director of Partnerships at The Prince’s Trust, said: “Our partnership with Tango enables The Prince’s Trust to support young people who face disadvantage with the skills and confidence they need to thrive. Together, we can inspire, motivate, and direct young people to the help that they need. We are hugely grateful to Tango for their continued commitment and know we can make a great difference to the lives of young people across the UK.”
The success of Tango’s partnership with The Prince’s Trust marks the latest milestone in Britvic’s broader Healthier People strategy which includes making a meaningful contribution to local communities. The business has long focused on supporting young people, including through internships, apprenticeships, graduate schemes and by joining the Government's Kickstarter scheme to support early careers programmes.
This year, Britvic also entered a multi-year funding partnership with children’s wellbeing charity Bounce Forward to help students with their emotional wellbeing and mental resilience.
