In the last few months, my brilliant colleagues at our Rugby, Beckton and Leeds factories held some ‘Night Club’ sessions.
It wasn’t quite what you might think Night Club is a wellbeing programme that brings employers together with sleep scientists to improve the health, wellbeing and engagement of night shift workers.
We’re working with the initiative to ensure a positive night shift experience for all – making these specific shift patterns work alongside the wellbeing of the Britvic team and bringing about change where we can in the business. Night Club provided us with a total of 50 sleep workshops that allowed over 400 of our night shift colleagues to put the advice they receive into practice.
As over two thirds of those who took part in the sessions said they often experience poor or variable quality sleep, we’re so pleased to see that across all three sites over 83% of those who took part said they learned something new. We plan to hold sessions with more of our colleagues across the business and keep the exchange of information going. For World Sleep Day 2024, we will be holding a company wide virtual training to share the brilliant tips wider.
We know that when employees feel healthy, well and safe, they can reach their maximum potential. We see health in the workplace as a complex blend of physical, psychological and social factors and want to support employee wellbeing and encourage healthier lifestyle choices for all. A variety of programmes including Night Club encourage an inclusive and thriving working environment.
