At Britvic we know how important our supply chain is, ensuring we consistently deliver the high-quality products that our customers and consumers know and love. Our latest investment of £26.9 million in our Rugby factory is a great example of this. It follows the completion of our transformative Business Capability Programme which has provided us with a modern supply chain for the long term, delivering both cost and commercial benefits.
As a business, we are always looking to innovate and improve the ways we work, being as efficient and forward thinking as possible. We want to make sure that our facilities are at the cutting edge, and this investment will create a fourth canning line at the Rugby facility, growing the site’s total capacity by 18%. This new, state of the art canning line will be a fantastic boost for the factory which produces several well-known brands including Tango, Pepsi and 7UP.
This is also great news for the community, creating at least 20 additional roles at the Rugby site, bringing the total number of colleagues employed in the area by Britvic to 330. These new jobs will mostly be within engineering and manufacturing, and we will also see our apprentices play a really important role. While this expansion takes place, they will take on additional responsibility to help with improvement projects as production commences. We can expect the line to be fully up and running at the beginning of next year. I look forward to seeing the changes to our Rugby site, and welcoming new colleagues to Britvic.
